How has he became so famous? Should they be famous? Why?
One reason Ned Kelly became famous was when he would town hostage at Glen Rowan. Ned Kelly was known to be an Australian Bush ranger helping out the poor (which is a myth). Wearing famous Armour the Kelly brothers held a shoot out with police. Several hostages were killed and 2 later died from gunshot wounds.
I believe that Ned Kelly shouldn't be as famous as he is because he is a criminal and performed dirty, rotten deeds which got himself killed.

Do i think the punishment for his crimes was fair?
I believe for some of his crimes, the punishment wasn't fair because they were small crimes. On one occasion he was punished based on an accusation and not found guilty. Overall I believe that his punishment of being hung was fair because he gave misery and grief to many families.

How was he punished for his crimes?
Ned Kelly's major punishment was to be hung on the 11th of November 1880. For smaller crimes he was usually in and out of jail, performing community service, and working hard labour. e.g 1874 - jailed for stealing a horse.
What do I think about his crimes?
I believe that some of Ned's crimes although they were small, were important to the victims of them, like stealing cattle and horses. I also believe that for what ever purpose for him killing 3 policemen he would have had a reason but I still believe that it isn't accepted.
What crimes was he convicted of?
Ned Kelly was in trouble with the police a lot. He convicted many crimes and served jail time in many occasions. The crimes Ned Kelly convicted were these.
*Stole cattle and horses
*Theft
*Murder
*He on one occasion assaulted a Chinaman
*Beat up a salesman
*He once shot a policeman in the wrist for getting too "friendly" with his sister
*Robbed two banks and stole 2000 pounds
*He killed three policeman in a shoot out on stringy bark creek

What kind of a childhood and family life did he have?
Kelly was born between June 1854 and June 1855. Ned was baptized by an Augustinian priest. As a boy he obtained basic schooling and risked his life to save another boy. As a reward, he was given a green sash which he wore under his armor in his final showdown. Ned didn't really have an easy childhood because of his fathers death when he was 11, he then became the families bread winner.
